Julia grew up in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, USA. She graduated in May 2020 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and The University of Pennsylvania dual degree program. In 2020 Julia relocated to France (life dream). As an artist, She is inspired by intimate moments and connections - between one another, ourselves, in nature, and within all life around us. She explores this through drawing, painting, collaging, sculpting, and through creating short video works. With video, she is curious about how the combination of visual art and sound/music create a very powerful experience and reaction. In her tangible domains, Julia creates many characters and embellishes them to pull from both real experiences or memories of people and personalities she has witnessed or fantasized. She is fascinated by fashion and the decorative arts, both of which she uses to build the personalities in her pieces. In her past few years relocating to France, Julia is continuing to discover and create.
